Our time with Per and the Sámi Walking Experience was wonderful! His personal lived experience as a Sámi brought a unique perspective and his knowledge of Sámi history and culture enriched the whole experience. We took this tour at the end of our time in Tromsø and we had already done a tour at a Sámi camp, but he taught us so much more and deepened our understanding and appreciation of Tromsø and the Sámi. Aside from his knowledge, Per is very personable and facilitated great connection among the group members, we left feeling like we had made new friends. It undoubtedly was one of our favorite experiences of the trip and we highly recommend others take a walk with Per if you want to have a broader understanding of the history and culture of the region!
